Keeping your important documents safe

I have a safe in our house so that, no matter what, my important documents will be safe. I have had a bushfire come through our old house that burnt and melted nearly everything in the house except our faithful old fire safe, so I'm really fond of it! I make sure to encourage all of my neighbours to keep copies of their documents in a fireproof safe like I do because I've seen what a pain it is trying to replace IDs after fires.
